Recovery Partition Creator 3.8 hopefully tomorrow

July 7, 2014 by Christopher Silvertooth

A few bug fixes users have reported should hopefully be quashed.

Fixed – Able to create a recovery partition with 2 or more drives connected.

New – Able to create a recovery partition on any bootable drive

Look for it tomorrow.

Wow. Great. What I was hoping for. I’m a developer (iOS) and on 2 of my machines OSX Yosemite wouldn’t install, i reckon because there’s any recovery partition. And your previous script unfortunately wouldn’t create it.
    Thanks a lot.

  2. David says:

Tried to use the recovery tool script you’d done (3.7) and it crashes out on rMBP 10.9.4. Hoping your update will come out soon and save my life! Thanks in advance for your efforts!

Just to add a little detail, it crashes after choosing which version of osx i’m using, the next window pops up and flashes off before i can even read it, the icon disappears from the dock, I then get:

08/07/2014 23:29:13.636 Finder[184]: AppleEvents/sandbox: Returning errAEPrivilegeError/-10004 and denying dispatch of event syso/exec from process ‘Recovery Partition Creator 3.6’/0x0-0x54054, pid=748, because it is not entitled to send an AppleEvent to this process.

I ran it as sudo but no difference.

  3. Marcelo Grebois says:

Thanks for this, it has been really helpful, looking forward for the 3.8

  4. Is there a version available for Recovery partition to work on Yosemite 10.10.4? I ran you latest recovery partition 3.8 and it just stalls after pointing to the location of the OSx Yosemite install file
    Any help would b appreciated.

As far as I know it works with 10.10.4 but I will look into it. Thanks for the heads up.
