Recovery Partition Update

Hi All,

Thanks for your patience with Recovery Partition Creator.  My last update was 4.0.3 which solved some of the issues people were having.  That said, the main… error still plagued some folks.  The one thing that seems to be consistent is that the “mainDrive/Partition” error seems to pop up much more often (possibly all the time) when your language is other than English.  That said, the interim fix seems to be setting your language to English while you run my program.  I realize this is not ideal.  I wasn’t sure it was actually a problem until a few users reported success after switching their language.

I will try to address the language issue in a future update assuming I can figure it out and use google translate to fill in the blanks.  Maybe a few of the users out there can give me a hand with translations?

At any rate, another user was kind enough to make some screen caps showing how to use the tool.  I will post those soon as that may assist everyone whose native language is not english.

Thank you to everyone for the valuable feedback,

Chris Silvertooth

I have been waiting for version 4.x before trying this (very awesome) “tool”. In the mean time i have installed macOS, and i was wondering if it would (also) work with this (public beta) version?

    An appreciative (longtime) OSX user.

Not sure Charles. I did download the public beta but have been working on some other tools to make my digital life easier so I haven’t had a chance to test it yet. I will add a post when I have tried it with macOS Sierra.

    Hello Christopher,
The original recovery partition failed to come up after installing a SSD and some juggling with images and partitions my OS X El Capitan 10.11.6.
Recovery Partition Creator 4.0.3 worked like a charm and recreated the recovery HD, which is such a great tool on the Mac.
    Thanks so much,

4.0.3 does not seem to work with Sierra. Is it supported yet? The message says that it can’t be opened and should be moved to the trash. Clicking on the info says the app’s authorization has been revoked due to its certificate being revoked.
